Service – Learning Projects

Become an Apostle of Charity

There are ways to serve in Mexico and San Bernardino.

Service-Learning projects.

Organize a team of people to come and work and learn.

In San Bernardino

Work includes painting and landscaping. Work also includes work in the After School Program with children. Opportunities for worship and conversation with neighborhood leaders. See a holistic community organizing approach in action.

In Mexico

Volunteers are needed in NUESTRO HOGAR, a retreat center for HIV+ persons in Michoacán. Trees need to be planted, landscaping needs to be finished and latrines need to be built.

Volunteers in both sites are greatly appreciated. Work is combined with reflection and worship so that volunteers grown spiritually and intellectually as they serve people in need.

Individuals seeking a spiritual retreat combined with physical labor, spiritual direction, worship and learning are encouraged to contact the Community of St. Martin. For more information about service-learning projects,
